# AUTOMATION.md starter: daily report

When to use. A job that only reads and reports, on a fixed schedule, with a small budget. Nothing leaves your systems and nothing is changed, so it needs no approval step.

Before you turn it on. Change the owner, the names, the schedule (UTC) and the amounts to your own. Run check_automation with your rules, show the section to the owner, and set status on and last_reviewed to that day only after their yes. Call preflight_run right before each run.
